I grew up surrounded by siblings,
yet I grew up an only child,
Blood never set fire to me,
they always said my dreams were wild,
I spent hours alone playing football,
‘it’s not tangible’ they said,
They told me to cut my hair,
you encouraged me to blossom,
you taught me to always be true,
i am paper, you are glue
I know that we’re now friends,
and we often talk for hours,

I apologize for my constant questions,
your words, They stay in my head for ever more,
always stored, insults, in your direction
are tossed, you share friendships lost,
You encouraged me to say
what lives inside my heart,
I can think on my feet,
with each day that i meet,
and i guess i just want
to say thank you,

You encouraged me to feel compassion,
to see the error of my ways,
The sole soul who was there
at my darkest hour,
who told me to stay positive
to help the karma angels read their maps,
You were the one who kept my chin up,
who brought out the stars,
The person who I have opened up to most,

You have been an adopted brother to me,
